“Why St. George is important to me” - a letter from a beloved parishioner

By:  Nikolette Rentzelos, Age 11

The first time I came to St. George was for my 40-day Blessing.  Then at six months, I started attending Little Angels every Tuesday with my mom and my best friend.  I was also Baptized here.

I met so many great people at Little Angels, friends that I still have and teachers like K. Bess and K. Eva, that I love.

After Little Angels, I started Greek school here every single Saturday!  This Church makes me happy and is like a second home.  Everyone here makes me feel loved and looks out for me and my family.  There are eyes EVERYWHERE!

Father Chrysanthos and Father Peter are so cool!  They even make my dad laugh, which is hard to do.  This Church has a really special place in my heart.  I am grateful for the love it gives me and the love I have for my faith in God, my religion, culture, family and friends.

From my 40-day Blessing, Baptism, Little Angels, Greek school, Sunday school, Junior Olympics, Joy/Goya, family nights, and being first daughter,  I find this place to be a big part of me.
